URGENT.

This docudrama is based on interviews that filmmaker Kim Tae-kyun had with dozens of North Korean defectors who crossed the bordering Tumen and Yalu rivers to seek food and freedom in China. The movie depicts the plight of a family in a mining village when the father crosses into China in an attempt to obtain medicine and food for his sick wife and 11-year-oldy son.

The docudrama also examines what really happened when North Korean refugees rushed into embassies in China to get help.
