Description:

Arthur Brown is a former National Intelligence Officer for East Asia of the United States' Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). Prior to joining the CIA, he served as a teacher in a small school in rural Japan. On his return to the United States he earned a degree in Japanese language studies from San Francisco State University; and he studied Japanese literature at Kumamoto National University in Kyushu. Thereafter he served the CIA for a quarter of a century, retiring in 2005. He is in business now, as owner and operator of a small company in the services sector. During his CIA career he served as station chief in three cities in the region including Seoul.

Please join us for a Professional Luncheon in which Brown will offer remarks, and accept questions on any topic -- perhaps on his specialty, North Korea, or his time at CIA headquarters in Langley.
