IT'S SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE!!
Summary:
Jimmy Angel
Oldies
Blue suede shoes. Annette Funicello. The days when Elvis and Marilyn
reigned as King and Queen. James Dean. Yes, we are talking about the
1950s. The bomb had everyone scared but the teenagers had discovered a
new musical style called Rock and Roll. Dick Clark gave them a Saturday
television program called "American Bandstand" and the rest is history.
Nobody on the Tokyo music scene better preserves the spirit of that age
better than rocker Jimmy Angel. He not only lived through the decade but
started his long singing career then. Yes, Jimmy is the real deal and
this timeless rocker now lives in Tokyo "because it is so Fifties."
Jimmy will be performing a long list of Fifties oldies and his own hits
like "Elvis and Marilyn" from his album "From Rock and Roll Heaven" and
many more. Dust off those blue suede shoes and come join all the cats
and dolls at our version of American Bandstand. As Jimmy says, "the
fifties were the best!"
